Daily Blotter for June 1st 2026
- 10:24 am, Disorderly Conduct, Memorial Union. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for Disorderly Conduct, Misdemeanor Bail Jumping, and Resisting after they caused a disturbance at the Memorial Union, and resisted officers during initial contact.
- 2:38 pm, Found Property, UWPD. Found wallet turned into PD secured into property before owner called. Owner was contacted and will contact Property Officer to claim wallet.
- 4:14 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted person experiencing mental health crisis.
- 7:13 pm, Mental Health Welfare Check, Local Hosital. Responded to local hospital on report of physically disorderly patient and staff requesting assistance. Patient experiencing mental health crisis.
Daily Blotter for May 31st 2026
- 4:24 pm, Found Property, Chazen Museum. Security found a wallet and turned it in to dispatch, placed into property for safekeeping while attempting to contact owner.
- 6:13 pm, Theft/Larceny, Memorial Union. Contacted person regarding stolen scooter.
- 7:29 pm, Information, W. Johnson & N. Frances Streets. Received call from outside agency that the flock camera overlooking the intersection of W Johnson St and N Frances St had been turned to face away from the intersection. Inspection of the camera did not show damage, however it could not be turned back towards the intersection w/tools readily at hand. Infrastructure Security notified to turn the camera back.
- 7:34 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Location Redacted. Assisted outside agency with person experiencing mental health crisis.
- 10:24 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Park & Regent Streets. Traffic Stop – Attempted to stop a motorcycle, no plates with two riders, motorcycle eluded, PC for fleeing and red-light violations if located.
- 12:06 am, Other, University Ave. & Park Street. Traffic stop - Stopped vehicle for wrong way driving, verbally warned for wrong way driving.
- 2:07 am, Medical/Alcohol/Detox Conveyance, Local Hospital. Contacted/Transported to local hospital while in protective custody person found in the middle of the roadway due to incapacitation by alcohol, detox evaluation.
- 3:16 am, Mental Health Welfare Check, Location Redacted. Contacted person experiencing mental health crisis.

- 5:32 am, Bail Jumping, University Club. Contacted/Released with Misdemeanor Citations person for Bail Jumping x2 after they were located within the UW Madison Ban Area and State Street/Langdon Ban Area contrary to their conditions for release with several Dane County Cases.
- 11:00 am, Damage to Property, East Campus Mall & University Ave. Contacted person regarding damaged light pole (B40) near the Chazen Art Museum by a ball that was thrown in the air and hit the light accidentally.
- 12:04 pm, Damage to Property, Kronsage. Contacted person who drove into fire hydrant just north of Showman house on bike path after tending shrubbery.
- 5:05 pm, Theft/Larceny, Memorial Union. Contacted person reporting their bag stolen from the Sunset Lounge, items were found in the 4th floor Great Hall and were brought there by someone also attending the event.
- 10:25 pm, Check Person, Location Redacted. Contacted person experiencing mental health crisis.
- 11:14 pm, Drug Violation, Lot 202. Traffic Stop – Stopped vehicle/verbally warned driver for UW Possession of Marijuana after observing them smoking marijuana within the lot, items seized and disposed of.
- 1:03 am, Bail Jumping, University Club. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for Misdemeanor Bail Jumping x2 after locating them within the State Street/Langdon Ban Area and UW-Madison Ban Area contrary to their conditions for release in several Dane County Cases.
- 2:46 am, Operating While Intoxicated, University Ave & East Campus Mall. Traffic Stop – Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail driver after being stopped on University Ave after failing to stop at a red light at Johnson St. and then driving the wrong way on University Ave towards oncoming traffic. Driver arrested for 2nd OWI 1st, Operating with Prohibited Alcohol Concentration, Failure to Obey Sign, and Failure to Stop at a Red Light. Outside agency wrote crash report for squad involved crash.

Daily Blotter for May 29th 2026
- 8:51 am, Follow-up, Local Hospital. Received item from local hospital that was removed from patient to be sent to another outside agency for an out of state open case.
- 12:08 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, UWPD. Assisted outside agency with a cell phone examination.
- 4:52 pm, Threat Assessment, Location Redacted. Contact with person making threats towards others, no contact letter to be drafted.
- 10:49 pm, Other, Tent Colony Lot. Closing Lot Violation - Cited/released without issue person for UWS Closing Hours - Arboretum/Picnic Point after they were found fishing on Raymer's Cove. Verbally warned for UWS possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. Seized and disposed of.
- 11:58 pm, Drug Violation, State Street. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect on outside agency Probably Cause for Theft and Entry into a Locke Vehicle, also cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Seized and disposed of glass pipe, Chore Boy and five pre roll joints (THC), seized and packaged a variety of stolen items reference outside agencies theft case.
- 12:07 am, Operating While Intoxicated, N. Henry & Langdon Streets. Traffic Stop – Stopped/Arrested/Released to Responsible Party driver for Failure to Stop for Stop Sign, Operating While Impaired (1st), Operating With Prohibited Alcohol Concentration.
- 12:49 am, Operating While Intoxicated, N. Gilson & Beld Streets. Traffic Stop - Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail driver for unreasonable and imprudent speed, non-registration of auto, arrested for OWI 1st. imprudent speed, non-registration of auto.
- 1:51 am, Motor Vehicle Accident, Sellery Hall. Contacted person regarding them scraping up against a cement barrier and damaging a fog light on a UW Housing truck.
- 5:32 am, Bail Jumping, University Club. Incident ongoing at time of briefing release.

- 1:33 pm, Criminal Damage, Alumni Park. Contacted person who advised that two sentinel statues were taken and/or broken.
- 4:23 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Local Hospital. Made phone contact with person regarding patient at local hospital, assisting outside agency.
- 11:49 pm, Other, S. Park Street & Vilas Ave. Traffic Stop – Verbally Warned driver for non registration of auto, for possession of THC after seeing in plain view. THC/MJ confiscated/destroyed at department.
- 12:22 am, Bail Jumping, N. Park Street & University Ave. Traffic Stop - Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail driver for Felony Bail Jumping x 3, OWL. Cited/Released passenger for county resisting/obstruction after providing false information during identification due to being on probation.
Daily Blotter for May 27th 2026
- 8:26 am, Other, Ag Research. Contacted person who was digging with an excavator in the Ag research station and struck a natural gas line causing local evacuations from Ag research.
- 10:08 am, Criminal Damage, Lowell Hall. Contacted person who reported two windowpanes broken with holes consistent to a bb gun in them. Eggs had also been thrown at the building.
- 2:17 pm, Found Property, Van Vleck Hall. Smartphone and black glasses were turned in to UWPD after being located in a planter near Van Vleck Hall, packaged for safekeeping in property, no identifying information.
- 10:24 pm, Drug Violation, Regent & N. Brooks Streets. Traffic Stop – Stopped/Verbally Warned Driver for suspended registration, possession of THC and open intoxicants in vehicle.
- 10:49 pm, Warrant Served, N. France Street & University Ave. Traffic Stop – Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail driver for Dane County Warrant, OWS, Verbally Warned for no plates after stopping vehicle for non-registration of auto (no plates).
- 11:11 pm, Other, Overlook Terrace & University Bay Drive. Traffic Stop - Stopped/Cited driver for criminal OAR and Verbally Warned for operating without a license issued.
- 1:48 am, Domestic, Location Redacted. Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail suspect for Battery and Disorderly conduct with domestic enhancers after being observed punching and connecting multiple times on another person who was an uncooperative victim.

- 12:53 am, Check Person, N. Lake St. & University Ave. Cited for County Resist/Obstruct after brief foot pursuit. Attempted to contact person after they impeded traffic/walked against solid red pedestrian signal and caused an MFD Ambulance to abruptly stop.
- 1:12 am, Operating While Intoxicated, Lot 63. Traffic Stop – Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail driver for speed, improper right turn, and OWI 1st, verbally warned for small amount of THC and 12 hour hold due to noncompliance. Vehicle remained legally parked in Lot 63.
- 3:43 am, Other, Agricultural Hall. Contacted person after security reported them sleeping in the student lounge, person cited for closing hours violation.

- 6:50 pm, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, Local Hospital. Assisted outside agency with an OWI blood draw at local hospital after patient was brought in for medical treatment.
- 11:10 pm, Other, McKay Lot. Closing Hours Violation - Contacted persons in vehicle for closing hours violation, cited driver for possess open intoxicants and both verbally warned for closing hours violation. Alcohol disposed of on scene.
- 1:33 am, Other, University & Randall Ave. Traffic Stop – Contact made with driver due to vehicle operating in bike lane, red light violation, and for passenger opening door and vomiting while moving. Contacted/Cited/Released passenger for UAL 1st, also verbally warned for obstructing.
- 1:54 am, Other, Campus Drive & University Ave. Attempted traffic stop on three E-Motorbikes on University Near Randall for all three having no lights. No visible registration plates.
Daily Blotter for May 24th 2026
- 8:04 am, Found Property, Vet Med. Contacted persons and returned many personal belongings found outside by Vet Med staff on 05/22/2026. Unable to contact another person’s personal belongings also found by Vet Med Staff on 04/15/2026 and placed into property for safe keeping until able to make contact with owner.
- 9:34 pm, Information, Eagle Heights. Contact with person who reported concerns about odor of marijuana coming from a residence since mid-April. Reports noticing it on weekends in the morning and evening. Looking for assistance on how to mitigate issue and provided information. Information shared with Eagle Heights Community Officer.

- 6:08 am, Assist Law Enforcement Agency, E. Johnson Street. Assisted outside agencies with person experiencing medical emergency.
- 8:19 am, Theft/Larceny, Carson Gulley. Contacted persons after they were observed on video taking a portable AC unit and a laptop from the abandoned property at Carson Gully. Items returned to owner and charges not pursued.
- 10:59 am, Motor Vehicle Accident, Lot 75. Contacted person regarding their vehicle being hit in Lot 75.
- 5:07 pm, Other, Animal Sciences Building. Report number pulled in error.
- 9:45 pm, Drug Violation, W. Lakeside & S. Park Streets. Traffic Stop – Stopped vehicle for non-registration of auto, cited for operating while suspended, verbally warned for possession of drug paraphernalia. Verbally warned passenger for possession of THC. Drugs and paraphernalia seized/disposed of.
- 10:38 pm, Warrant Served, S. Park St. & W. Olin Ave. Traffic Stop – Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail driver for imprudent speed, expired registration, failure to follow indicated turn, and unsafe cutting in when passing, felony warrant from Lafayette Co for failure to report to jail. Cited for imprudent speed, unsafe cutting in when passing, and operating a motorcycle without valid license. Motorcycle and property left with responsible party.
- 12:01 am, Warrant Served, University Ave. & N. Orchard St. Traffic Stop – Contacted/Cited/Arrested/Transported/Released to Dane County Jail driver for Improper Left Turn, Stinger II deployed when the driver left initial stop location, DOC Parole Violation Warrant.
- 2:10 am, Eluding, N. Bassett & W. Dayton Streets. Attempted to stop vehicle for speed, failure to stop at stop sign, suspended registration, reckless driving, violate red traffic signal. Vehicle fled after given lights and siren SB on N Lake St turning EB on W Dayton St where we ended pursuit, investigation ongoing.
- 2:33 am, Operating While Intoxicated, W. Gillman & State Street. Traffic Stop – Stopped/Arrested/Released with Citation driver for Failure to Stop at Stop Sign and Operating While Impaired after driver failed to stop for a stop sign and went around a traffic barricade, driver un-arrested for OWI given intox/PBT result.
